Keep in mind...spring is here and it is time for those hot sweltering softball, baseball, and soccer games. You need sunscreen of AT LEAST an SPF 30 or HIGHER to protect you. Be sure to cover the sides of your neck and chest as well. Sunscreens in makeup ARE NOT ENOUGH (these are usually only SPF 15! Also, if you have had problems with sunscreens that "break you out", come in and let us show you the solution!

Founded in summer of 2001 by Dr. Jason Lockridge, a board-certified dermatologist, Mohs'/Dermatologic Surgeon, we are quickly becoming one of Birmingham, Alabama's most progressive, advanced center for the treatment of dermatologic diseases and for cosmetic care of the skin. Dr. Lockridge is from Centre, Alabama, attended the University of Alabama as an undergraduate, with graduation from Boston's Harvard Medical School in 1995. He then went on to complete a dermatology/dermatologic surgery residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, becoming board-certified to practice Dermatology in 1999. He is a fellow with the American Society of Mohs' Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Lockridge belongs to the AMA (American Medical Association), and the Alabama Dermatology Society. He is a member of the staff at UAB Medical West, Baptist-Montclair Hospital, Children's Hospital, and Brookwood Hospital.
